After "Old School" Houli Rags Vegas Baby Contest we should have a Formal. And what more fitting for an Island Formal than the Filipino tuxedo - the Barong. Remember those things? I use to hate when my Mom made me wear one. But you have to admit they sure were handy. A barong, some pants, throw in some leather sandals and BAM - fit for any occasion.

Formal Night
After "Old School" Houli Rags Vegas Baby Contest we should have a Formal. And what more fitting for an Island Formal than the Filipino tuxedo - the Barong. Remember those things? I use to hate when my Mom made me wear one. But you have to admit they sure were handy. A barong, some pants, throw in some leather sandals and BAM - fit for any occasion.

RAC, I am all for the formal, but I got no Barong. I do however have a tie. I wore it to my bro Ric and Terisa's wedding. It is a cool Tazmainian Devil tie. Oh yea, any reason to wear it.
I hate formal attires. Never did like sporting a tie or wearing suits. I remember a formal function that I was mandated to attend (in Sacramento, Ca. back in 1992). Was told that suits and ties were manditory. I went to some little shop in 'Old Sacramento' by the river and bought an minature tie (was no longer than 2 1/2 or 3's" long). Showed up at the dinner wearing it with a black jacket and white button-down shirt. Was sure that I was going to lose my job, but instead the administrators got a rise out of it (lucky for me...that time).
RAC'meister, don't know what a Barong is. But if it is formal, then, i'll just have to show up wearing the DC tie-dye t-shirt instead. (Screw the man) :)
Barongs are gay! I never had one and I certainly wont wear one but I will wear Island formal, island shirt with white pants (and your "good" jorries).hahaha.
I've been accused of a lot of things in my life, but wearing a barong isn't one of them. My idea of formal is putting on something that doesn't have more than 3 or 4 holes in it. When in doubt, travel light. Makes for a faster getaway...
I thought this might get a rise out of you guys. Mat hit it on the head. Other than a dress (and thong), a barong is about the gayest thing a man could ever wear. However they do prevent panty lines... oh wait... ;-)
RAC, you ever hold a blade of grass between your thumbs and blow. what a high pitched and loud whistle it makes. Same thing with a thong.
